<p>Robert Harold Thompson, 83, of Interlachen, passed away on February 6, 2024 after a long illness.</p><p>Bob was born on December 15, 1940 to Elizabeth and Harold Thompson in Marshfield, Wisconsin. </p><p>In 1958, Bob met Donna in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin. Bob and Donna went on to have four children, John (Cindy), Cindy (Raymond), Barbara, and Bobby. He has seven grandchildren Justin, Jetmir, Sheri, Travis (Kelly), MaKayla (Sabian), Justin, Craig (Bobbie) and nine great-grand children; Savanna, Connor, Hailey, Brayden, Braylynn, Carter, Bobby, Hayden, Carson. </p><p>Bob was a U.S. Army Korean era disabled Veteran. Wife, Donna, Private, Woman’s Army Corp (WAC), Three of his children are Veterans, John-Corporal, U.S. Marine Corp., Cindy-Seargent (P), U.S. Army, Bobby-Corporal, U.S. Marine Corp &amp; Specialist, U.S. Army and two grandchildren are Veterans, Travis-Seargent(P), U.S. Army, Jetmir-Lance Corporal, U.S. Marine Corp.</p><p>Throughout the years, Bob had a wide variety of interests that included: Boy Scout Master and Unit Commissioner, received the rank of Vigilant the Order of the Arrow in the American Legion (Including the Honor Squad), wildlife rehabilitator, horseback riding, horsedrawn wagon driver, dive master (scuba) training many divers in Lake Chipco, Explorer Leader (Horseman), canoeing, and kayaking.</p><p>Bob was predeceased by his parents and sisters, Mary (sadly passed on the same day Bob did), Helen, Violet, and Eleanor. He is survived by his wife, children, grand, great-grandchildren and sister Marjorie (Milfred).</p><p><br></p><p>His family wishes to acknowledge his close friends including “beer thirty” group, fellow mule, draft horse/horse lovers, Shelton Animal Clinic friends, and others; Bob truly enjoyed your friendship. </p><p>Bob’s life will be honored at his home in Interlachen on a date/time to be determined later. </p><p><br></p>
