<p><p>Michael J. Gula, 63, passed away at Buffalo General Hospital on February 2, 2024. He was born September 29, 1960, the son of the late William and Stephanie (Szumigala) Gula. Mike was a 1978 graduate of Dunkirk High School. He was employed for several years at the Chautauqua County Home and later at Fredonia Place. He enjoyed hunting, casino trips, cheering for the Green Bay Packers and Boston Red Sox, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his Buddy beagle.</p><p>Mike is survived by his longtime companion, Rosemary Conti, sisters Rose Miller and Lorraine Gula Bronson, as well as nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and his dear friend, John Lakas, who was like a brother and whose daily phone call meant so much to Mike.&nbsp; Besides his parents, Mike is preceded in death by his brother, William Gula Jr.Per Mike’s wishes there will be no visitation. Memorials, if desired, may be sent to Lakeshore Humane Society, 431 E. Chestnut Street, Dunkirk, New York 14048.</p><p>On-line condolences may be made at larsontimkofuneralhome.com.
