Cecilia Grace O'Toole Obituary

Cecilia "Ceil" Grace (Hanly) O'Toole, 95, entered into eternal life on February 6, 2024. She was the beloved daughter of Michael and Mary (Jinks) Hanly. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Hugh O'Toole, brother Martin Hanly and son-in-law, Richard Eitel. Survived by her sister, Mary Ann Hughes; daughter, Kathleen Eitel; son, Kevin (Janice) O'Toole; and daughter, Kieran "Keri" (Dennis) Carvalho. Mommom to six grandchildren, Michael (Dana) Carvalho; Kristen (Dan) Shuman; Lindsay (Garrett) Sullivan; Daniel (Talia) Carvalho, Kellie (Annie) O'Toole and Karly O'Toole, seven great-grandchildren, Cecilia, Lucas, Garrett, Alexa, Kaia, Tenley and Olivia and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed. Born and raised in New Jersey, Ceil spent her career working for the Township of Belleville, where she ultimately retired as the Director of Welfare. Upon his return from World War II, Ceil met Hugh, the love of her life. They married shortly after and raised their family in Belleville, New Jersey. After spending many years traveling the United States in their Winnebago looking for an ideal retirement community, she and Hugh built their dream home in Statesville, North Carolina, where they lived happily for over 30 years. Family brought her to live in Rhode Island after the passing of her husband, where she was an active member of the church and the Lincoln Senior Center. Ceil took great pride in her appearance. She stopped at nothing to get her hair, nails and makeup done and always made a fashion statement.
