Rosialene Chambers

<p>Rosialene Collums Chambers, 89, passed away peacefully at Diversicare of Batesville, MS on February 1, 2024. She was born on January 28, 1935, to the late Lexi Taylor Collums and Toy Collums. </p><p><br></p><p>Rosialene attended Truslow Methodist Church. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Anyone who knew her, loved her. She was affectionately known as “Puddin” to friends and family alike. She was kind and caring and would do anything for anybody. She loved hummingbirds, working in her flowerbeds, quilting, canning, and making homemade jellies. But more than anything else, she would say that she loved “taking care of those kids”. Her 8 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren were near and dear to her heart.</p><p><br></p><p>Left to cherish her memory includes her son, David Chambers of Sarah; sisters, Terry Bland (Billy) of Senatobia, Bonnie Litton (Elton) of Pontotoc, and Robbie Patterson (Carlos) of Pontotoc; brother, Jimmy Collums (Deborah) of Paris, MS; grandchildren, Melissa Dixon, Jessica King, Caitlin King, Jennifer Chambers, Sydney Chambers, Emily Bohannan, and Kimberly Taylor; 20 grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Rosialene is preceded in death by her parents, Lexi Taylor Collums and Toy Collums; daughter, Patricia Chambers; stepmother, Lella Collums; husband, Calvin Chambers; daughter, Pamela King; son, Calvin Chambers; granddaughter, Shanna Chambers; 7 brothers and 2 sisters. </p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Visitation will be held at Ray Nowell Funeral Home in Senatobia on Thursday, February 8, 2024, from 11:00 a.m.-12 noon. Funeral services will be held at Ray Nowell Funeral Home chapel at 12 noon. Graveside service and interment will be held at Truslow Methodist Church Cemetery in Sarah, MS immediately following funeral services. Memorial contributions may be made in Rosialene’s memory to Gideon’s Bibles at The Gideons International Processing Center, PO Box 97251, Washington, DC 20090-7251.</p><p><br></p><p>Ray Nowell Funeral Home is honored to serve the Chambers family during this time of sadness.</p>
