With profound sorrow and cherished memories, we announce the peaceful passing of Mary Edna (nee Dietz) Hofstetter on February 4, 2024. Mary, a woman of grace and dignity, was the adored wife of the late William Henry Hofstetter and a pillar of strength for her family.

Mary's legacy of love and dedication lives on through her children: William Frederick Hofstetter and his wife Beverly Jean, Sheree Irene Hofstetter, and Dwight David Hofstetter and his wife Susan Michele. Her warmth and wisdom touched the lives of her grandchildren: John Frederick Hofstetter and his wife Jennifer Lynn, Shana Marie Carroll and her husband Gregory, and Dwight David Hofstetter, II. Her enduring spirit will forever be etched in the hearts of her great-grandchildren - Grace Elaine Hofstetter, Grant William Hofstetter, Imogene Mary Amelie Carroll, Adelaide Maisy Irene Carroll, Mathilda Josephine Elizabeth Carroll, and great-great-grandchild Levi William Hofstetter.

Mary is lovingly remembered as the dear sister of her late siblings: Alvina “Rene” Lillian Berg, Irene “Lettie” Hack, Thelma “Sis” Butt and Frederick Earl “Buddy” Dietz, Sr. Her memory will also be cherished by a host of loving nieces and nephews.

The Hofstetter family warmly invites friends and loved ones to join in remembering and celebrating Mary's life. Visitation will be held at the E.F. Lassahn Funeral Home, P.A., located at 11750 Belair Road in Kingsville, on Sunday, February 11, 2024, from 1:00pm to 3:00pm and from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Further visitation will continue on Monday, February 12, 2024, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Kingsville from 10:00am until 10:30am, followed by the funeral service at 10:30am. Mary will then be laid to rest at Bel Air Memorial Gardens, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
