<p>Janette Hyzer, of New Windsor, entered into rest on Saturday, February 3, 2024. She was 96.</p><p><br></p><p>Daughter of the late Romeo and Clara Perrier, she was born on October 4, 1927 in Newburgh, NY.</p><p><br></p><p>After growing up in Sullivan County she spent the rest of her life and raised her family in New Windsor. A homemaker, she did work in her younger years for the phone company and after her children were grown part time for Sears. She was an avid reader making frequent trips to the library. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting and was a skilled seamstress. Janette loved being outside and enjoyed gardening.</p><p><br></p><p>Survivors include a daughter, Dawn L. Crumpler of Newburgh; a sister, Albertine Perrier of Owego, NY; two grandchildren, Robert Crumpler and Megan Osborne; four great grandchildren, Alexia, Averi, James and Jacob; and many nieces and nephews.</p><p><br></p><p>In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Robert W. Hyzer, a son, Wynn A. Hyzer, a son in law, Percel Crumpler and two sisters, Louise Steele and Celia Perrier.</p><p><br></p><p>Private cremation has taken place at Cedar Hill Crematory.</p><p><br></p><p>A Memorial Service will&nbsp; held Sunday February 18, 2024 at 11:30 am at Christ Lutheran Church, 186 Fullerton Avenue, Newburgh, NY with Pastor Ernest Mossl officiating.</p><p><br></p><p>Donations in Janette’s memory can be made to Christ Lutheran Church, 186 Fullerton Avenue, Newburgh, NY 12550.</p><p><br></p>

Obituary

Janette Hyzer, of New Windsor, entered into rest on Saturday, February 3, 2024. She was 96.


Daughter of the late Romeo and Clara Perrier, she was born on October 4, 1927 in Newburgh, NY.


After growing up in Sullivan County she spent the rest of her life and raised her family in New Windsor.
