Raymond Wade Davis, 60, of Dubuque, Iowa, passed away at home on February 2nd, 2024.

There will be no public services held at this time.

Raymond was born on January 12th, 1964 in Dubuque, Iowa, son of Raymond L. and Rita ( LeStant) Davis. He was united in marriage to Leslie L. McConnell on December 27th, 2004 in Dubuque.

Ray meant so much to so many people. He was a son, brother, father and step-father, husband, confidant, friend, and mentor. He had a bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts. Cooking was his passion, and he worked at many places as a cook, supervisor, manager, and general manager such as: Dubuque Inn, Cedars, Dubuque Greyhound Park & Casino, Barx, Potter's Mill, Hilltop, and Caroline's Restaurant at the Hotel Julien. He was a hard worker that always believed he needed to provide for his family. He loved mentoring others in the culinary industry, and he made the most amazing soups.

Raymond is survived by his wife Leslie, children Brandon Davis, Ashleigh Davis, and Samantha Shireman, step-daughter Katie Ludwig, step-son Jacob Ludwig, step-mother Diane Davis, brothers Ken Davis, Bruce Davis, John Davis, and Tim Davis, and sister Brenda Lucas.

He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Rita.
