Bruce Edward Foster Jr., 69, of Morrisville, passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 while recovering from a stroke suffered in July.

Bruce was born in Morrisville on November 23, 1954, to Bruce Foster Sr. and Marjorie Verge. He attended Peoples Academy. He married Linda Goodell on January 25, 1974, raising two children, later divorcing but remaining lifelong friends.

For 20 years, Bruce worked on the Valcour’s farm as a farm hand, mechanic, and truck driver. Later, he worked for several construction crews including JA McDonald, Inc. He was most proud of his work on the Stowe Mountain Resort and the wind turbines in Lowell, VT. If it was broken, Bruce would find a way to fix it.

Bruce enjoyed spending time with those he loved; his children, family, friends, and his grandchildren, who referred to him as Papa. Bruce could be found working under a car, on a snowmobile, or on anything with wheels. Most times supported by his partner in crime Michael Goodell. Later in life, Bruce enjoyed driving the mountain sides, and taking in the scenery.

He is survived by his son Matt and Stephanie Foster of Port St. Lucie, FL and daughter Charlotte Foster of Johnson, VT. His grandchildren Taylor Putvain, Maryah Putvain, and Conner Foster, his brothers and sisters Larry Foster, Tom Foster, Mark Foster, Mary Compagna, and Susie Audit, many cousins, nephews, nieces, and lifelong friends around the Morrisville area.

He was predeceased by his parents, Bruce Foster, Sr. and Marjorie Verge, his stepmother Elizabeth “Betty” Foster, and his friends Linda L. Foster and Michael Goodell.
