<p>Margaret Ireson, 83, of Strasburg, VA passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, February 4, 2024.&nbsp; </p><p>Margaret was born in Shenandoah County, VA on September 7, 1940, a daughter of the late Henry Russell and Verdie Lee Whitmer Wood.&nbsp; Margaret worked many jobs in her lifetime with her last at Daytona International Speedway NASCAR.&nbsp; In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Wayne Wood and a sister Barbara Berry. </p><p>Mrs. Ireson is survived by her husband Wayne; a son Dennis R. Ireson; a daughter Renee Jones (Lee); brothers Gibson Wood (Carol) and Bobby Wood (Phan); longtime family friends Bob and Virginia McDonald; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. </p><p>A celebration of life service for Mrs. Ireson will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 9, 2024, at Liberty Baptist Church with Pastor Keith Warren officiating.&nbsp; Burial will follow at Panorama Memorial Garden.&nbsp; A time of food and fellowship will be held at Liberty Baptist Church immediately following the interment.&nbsp;&nbsp; </p><p>The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. </p><p>In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of memorial contributions to Liberty Baptist Church or Legacy Hospice.&nbsp; </p><p>You may sign the guestbook and submit your condolences to the family at www.stoverfuneralhome.com.&nbsp; </p><p>Stover Funeral Home and Crematory, Strasburg, VA is serving the family of Margaret Ireson.&nbsp; </p><p>&nbsp; </p>
