Josie Lee White

<p>Josie Lee White was born in McComb, Mississippi, she is the daughter of Grover White Sr. and Rosie Lee White. Josie grew up in Mississippi and attended and completed high school there. She later migrated to New York where she met and married Phil Odell Jerman (deceased) and that loving union produced two children. Her eldest son John Jerman, Esq and her loving daughter Annette Jerman. Josie loved doing hair and makeup and that motivated her to attend and graduate from beauty school in Mount Vernon, NY. Later in her life Josie moved to Connecticut where she remained until her passing.</p><p><br></p><p>She loved a beautiful, clean home with the aroma of good ole’ soul food. Josie loved to entertain, dance and have get-togethers with family/friends. She started giving “fall bashes” where she would have big cook outs with family and friends. Josie could cook her “behind off”. Lol Those around her felt the love! In a nutshell she loved her family/kids, loved the outdoors, dancing, beautiful flowers, loved to laugh, and absolutely loved cooking.</p><p><br></p><p>Josie was a beautiful, intelligent, fun loving, caring, comedic, and spunky woman. She would help everyone if she could. Josie loved family, her children didn’t want or need for anything. She took great care of her children.</p><p><br></p><p>Josie transitioned on January 30, 2024 at the far too young age of eighty-two (82) She now joins her siblings in heaven - sister Sue and brother Grover Jr.</p><p><br></p><p>She leaves to mourn her sisters: Ann and Carolyn; her son John (Wendy Ellerbee, fiancé ), daughter Annette; beautiful grand daughter Chloe’ Jerman; sweet niece Linda White; cousins: Albert McGhee, Maurice/Paulette McGhee, Kendall/Sandra McGhee; and extended family: Brenda Johnson, Tynisa, The Riolo’s, Andrew/Ann Weiss, Rod/Mina Randall, Sheila Lawrence, Kendra Fabin and Mitsie her wonderful caretaker.</p><p><br></p><p>She is now with GOD and her other lovely family/friends in Heaven. Thank you so kindly!</p><p><br></p><p>A Viewing/Wake/Visitation will be held on Monday Feb. 5th, 2024 from 11:00AM-12:00PM, followed by Funeral Service at 12:00 NOON, with limited seating due to COVID &amp; other health considerations. There is a MAXIMUM CAPACITY of 80 people at funeral home at any time, And MASKS MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES. So you must come to the funeral home WITH YOUR OWN MASK ON ALREADY to attend the Wake, with your masks on inside at ALL times. At the very least you can get hand sanitizer &amp; sign the register book (NOTE: please feel free to bring your own pen), and WALK-THRU to briefly greet the family. If not at capacity, you will be allowed in to have a seat; but if at capacity by the time you get here, you may be required to leave the premises after signing register book, so as not to be in violation nor cause a health hazard, so please govern yourself accordingly. Regardless of if you're able to enter/be seated, or not, social distancing MUST be maintained (please refrain from touching/hugging/handshaking, preferably just elbow bumping briefly if at all). She loved a beautiful, clean home with the aroma of good ole’ soul food. Josie loved to entertain, dance and have get-togethers with family/friends.
