Willie "Paul" Sweatt

Willie “Paul” Sweatt of Bremen passed away Friday, April 13, 2018 in a local hospital. He was born in Pell City, Alabama, January 16, 1943, son of the late Charlie Chandler Sweatt and Lucille Summers Sweatt. Mr. Sweatt was a member of the Bremen First United Methodist Church. He retired in 2007 as Job Site Superintendent for Weekes Construction. Survivors include his wife, Judy Ann Long Sweatt of Bremen; a daughter and son-in-law, Paula and David Stevenson of Hiram; a son and daughter-in-law, Shay and Abbe Sweatt of Bremen; grandchildren, Brady Bearden of Hiram, Campbell Sweatt of Bremen, Logan Stevenson of Hiram, Emily Croft of Hiram and Ella Sweatt of Bremen; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ann and Jerry Buchanan of Carrollton, Sue and Don Rosser of Bremen; brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Judy Sweatt of Peachtree City, Shelley and Eleanor Sweatt of Bremen, Claud and Linda Sweatt of Jacksonville, FL and a number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Services will be Tuesday, April 17 at 1:00 PM from the chapel of Hightower Funeral Home with Reverend Gerald Varner officiating and brother-in-law, Scotty Long will provide the eulogy. Music will be furnished by Ben Sweatt and Lynn Hodges. Interment will follow in Little Vine Church Cemetery with Marty Patterson, Adam Long, Andy Long, Campbell Sweatt, Brady Bearden and Steven Sweatt serving as pallbearers.
