M. Page Woodbbury Obituary

M. Page Woodbury, 90, passed away on January 24, 2024 at Heritage Park in Jamestown NY. Born in Orange NJ, she was the daughter of Beatrice Bayard Page and Stanley Hart Page. Although her given name was Martha, she preferred to be called Page. After graduating from Middlebury College, Page did research for the Commerce Dept. in Washington DC where she met her husband of 50years, the late Robert C. “Bob” Woodbury, Esq.. They moved to New York City where Page worked for McKinsey. Following the death of his father, Bob and Page relocated to Fredonia to help his brother Gary operate Woodbury Fruit Farms, which evolved into Woodbury Vineyards winery. Page was involved in nearly every aspect of the business. Following her winery years, she became a registered representative for Bodell, Overcash and Anderson. Page loved the outdoors, travel, animals, Chautauqua, and fine food and wine. She was an avid supporter of the arts. Her recent memberships included Fredonia First Methodist Church and Shakespeare Club. Page is survived by Bayard cousins Marti, Pam, Bill, Dave, and Judy; in-laws Gary and Robin Woodbury; and Woodbury nieces and nephews Wendy, Randy, Tim, Vicky, Michelle, and Melissa.

The family extend thanks to the staffs of Fredonia Place, Brooks Hospital ER and 3B, Heritage Park, and Chautauqua Hospice for their care and kindness.

Friends and family are invited to a memorial service for Page to be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 20th at Fredonia First Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory may be made to the 1891 Fredonia Opera house, Fredonia First Methodist Church or the charity of your choice.  On-line condolences may be made at larsontimkofuneralhome.com.  Arrangements by David J. Dengler, LARSON-TIMKO Funeral Home.
