Terry Smith

<p>Terry Smith, 67, passed away peacefully at Highland Hills Medical Center in Senatobia, MS on February 1, 2024. He was born on November 4, 1956, to the late Ernestine Quick Smith and Earl Ray Smith, affectionately known by everyone as Mom and Pop Smith. </p><p><br></p><p>Terry retired from Whitfield Electric after working many for years as an electrician. He thoroughly enjoyed retirement, as he was able to fully enjoy his hobbies which include fishing, woodworking, golfing, playing the guitar and watching old western movies. Terry was an avid Ole Miss fan and cheered on the Rebels every opportunity that he got. He even named his two beloved beagle “fur babies” after his favorite team mascot- Colonel and Rebel. Terry was married to the love of his life, Connie Smith, for a wonderful 27 years of marriage. He was a member of Senatobia First Methodist church.</p><p><br></p><p>Left to cherish his memory include his wife, Connie Grantham Smith; sister, Vicky Freeman (Wendal); brothers, Tony Smith, Jimmy (Mickey) Grantham, and Willie Grantham; nephews, Jake Smith (Lissa), Jason Smith (Goldie), Walt Freeman (Anna), David Freeman (Lauren), and Daniel Gallagher (Paige); niece, Cindy West (Jeff); and numerous great nieces and great nephews. Along with his parents, Terry is preceded in death by his brother, Tim Smith. He will be sadly missed by many dear friends, along with Colonel and Rebel.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Graveside service and interment will be held at Senatobia Memorial Cemetery on Monday, February 5, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made in Terry’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or Senatobia-Tate County Animal Shelter, 909 EF Hale Jr. Drive, Senatobia, MS 38668. </p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Ray Nowell Funeral Home is honored to serve the Smith family during this time of sadness.</p>
