<p>Gladys A. Barazarte, of the Town of Newburgh, entered into rest on Tuesday, January 30, 2024. She was 87.</p><p><br></p><p>Daughter of the late Pedro A. Barazarte and Ernestina Castillo Muller, she was born July 14, 1936 in Bocono, Trujillo, Venezuela.</p><p><br></p><p>Gladys was a homemaker, coming from South America some eight years ago. Described as a selfless woman, she was always trying to help people. She enjoyed cooking and loved gardening and nature.</p><p><br></p><p>Survivors include a son, Orlando (Maria) Zalazar of the Town of Newburgh; a sister, Olga Barazarte of Venezuela; one grandson, Alejandro Zalazar; and several nieces and nephews.</p><p><br></p><p>Private cremation has taken place at Cedar Hill Crematory.</p><p><br></p><p>Donations in Memory can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.</p><p><br></p><p></p>

Gladys A. Barazarte, of the Town of Newburgh, entered into rest on Tuesday, January 30, 2024. She was 87.


Daughter of the late Pedro A. Barazarte and Ernestina Castillo Muller, she was born July 14, 1936 in Bocono, Trujillo, Venezuela.
