<p>Gladys A. Barazarte, of the Town of Newburgh, entered into rest on Tuesday, January 30, 2024. She was 87.</p><p><br></p><p>Daughter of the late Pedro A. Barazarte and Ernestina Castillo Muller, she was born July 14, 1936 in Bocono, Trujillo, Venezuela.</p><p><br></p><p>Gladys was a homemaker, coming from South America some eight years ago. Described as a selfless woman, she was always trying to help people. She enjoyed cooking and loved gardening and nature.</p><p><br></p><p>Survivors include a son, Orlando (Maria) Zalazar of the Town of Newburgh; a sister, Olga Barazarte of Venezuela; one grandson, Alejandro Zalazar; and several nieces and nephews.</p><p><br></p><p>Private cremation has taken place at Cedar Hill Crematory.</p><p><br></p><p>Donations in Memory can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.</p><p><br></p><p></p>Obituary
