Sally J. Dufresne

Our beloved sister-in-law, aunt, great aunt, and dear friend to everyone she met passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at McLaren Bay Region, age 82. Sally was born February 22, 1941, in Bay City to the late Ambrose and Helen (Sowinski) Wisniewski. She graduated from Bay City Central High School in 1959 and was employed with Bay Regional MedicalCenter/McLaren Bay Region for 25 years. Sally married Ronald Dufresne on July 21, 1973, and he predeceased her on January 11, 2008. She was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish (St. Stanislaus Church) and the OLC Senior Citizens Club. She loved to play bingo with her friends at Charter Senior Living and enjoyed going to the casino. Sally looked forward to Sundays surrounded by her family enjoying breakfast together.

Left to cherish her memory is her brother-in-law James Lewandowski, aunt Delores Sowinski, niece Kathy Swiercz and her husband Ken, their children: Kellie (Jason) Brzezinski, Katie (Nicholas) Dietzel, and Kevin Swiercz, seven great nieces and nephews: Addison, Peyton, Londyn, and Hudson Brzezinski, Olivia, Emma, and Luke Dietzel. Sally was predeceased by her sister Mary Ann Lewandowski, aunt Louise Sowinski, in-laws Vincent “Ben” and Leotine Dufresne and many additional aunts and uncles.

The Funeral Mass for Sally will be celebrated Saturday, February 3, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish-St. Stanislaus Church, 1503 Kosciuszko Ave., Bay City, MI 48708. Fr. Nicholas Coffaro will celebrate Mass and private interment will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Family and friends will gather at the church on Saturday, from 9:00 AM until the time of Mass. No visitation will be held at Ambrose Funeral Home.
