<p>On Sunday, January 28, 2024, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend, Eloise “Jeanie” Smith, age 72, died unexpectedly at home.</p><p><br></p><p>Jeanie spent most of her life living in Cadosia. She worked for many years at Smith’s Colonial Motel in Hancock.</p><p><br></p><p>She leaves behind her sons, Shawn and wife Lisa and Michael and wife Denise; her loving grandchildren, Sara and husband Kyle, Makayla, Cassandra, and Russell; her pride and joy, great granddaughters, Annalise (Peanut) and Raya Lynn. Jean also leaves behind her dedicated, unconditional loving, caring, sister and best friend, Francis “Frannie” Swier and brother in law, Stan; as well as her nephew, Robert Swier; brother in law, Raymond Schwenk; and many cousins and friends.</p><p><br></p><p>Jean was predeceased by her parents, Billy and Anna Harpur and her heart warming, giving, big sister, Rosemary Schwenk.</p><p><br></p><p>As per her wishes, no service will take place.</p><p><br></p><p>Arrangements by Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel, Hancock.</p>

On Sunday, January 28, 2024, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend, Eloise “Jeanie” Smith, age 72, died unexpectedly at home.


Jeanie spent most of her life living in Cadosia. She worked for many years at Smith’s Colonial Motel in Hancock.


She leaves behind her sons, Shawn and wife Lisa and Michael and wife Denise; her loving grandchildren, Sara and husband Kyle, Makayla, Cassandra, and Russell; her pride and joy, great granddaughters, Annalise (Peanut) and Raya Lynn. Jean also leaves behind her dedicated, unconditional loving, caring, sister and best friend, Francis “Frannie” Swier and brother in law, Stan; as well as her nephew, Robert Swier; brother in law, Raymond Schwenk; and many cousins and friends.


Jean was predeceased by her parents, Billy and Anna Harpur and her heart warming, giving, big sister, Rosemary Schwenk.


As per her wishes, no service will take place.
