Obituary

PRICE, Robert “Bob” L., age 83, of Bellbrook, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2024, at Sycamore Hospital.

Bob retired in 2000 from Chrysler Corporation after 36 years of dedicated service to the company. In addition, he served many years as Vice President and President of the International Union of Electrical Workers Local 775. He was also Chairman of the Democratic Party for Greene County for a while and a faithful member of the Millennium Masonic Lodge No. 779 in Dayton. He was just recently awarded his 40 year membership pin from the Masons.

Hard-working and a natural leader, Bob was a great provider for his family. While serving in leadership roles for the union, he was an active supporter of several local charities. He was an avid sports fan, especially the Cincinnati Reds. Fishing was his absolute favorite hobby, and time spent casting a line at Caesar Creek State Park was his passion. In addition, he owned a cabin at Lake Cumberland for several years, with the sole intent of good fishing. He even traveled to Canada one year to fish with his son, but the trip went awry when the engine of the boat went out. Among many things, he will be remembered for how much he loved the tradition of traveling back to Somerset in Kentucky during family reunions each year.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Louella Reynolds; one grandson, Tyler Ridgeway; one brother, Bill Reynolds; and his son-in-law, Danny Branch. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Ival; son, Jeffery (Andrea) Price; daughter, Lisa Branch; two granddaughters, Maggie Rose and Amber Stack; great-grandson, Anthony; and three sisters, Shirley Johnson, Vicki Parker, and Patricia (Jim) White.

The family will receive friends 11 AM - 1 PM Thursday, February 1, at Conner & Koch Life Celebration Funeral Home in Bellbrook. A celebration of life service will immediately follow the service at 1 PM on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Miami Valley Memory Gardens. Celebrant Brian Bennett will be officiating the service. If desired and in Bob’s memory, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Condolences at www.connerandkoch.com.
