<p>James Leroy “Jim” Langford, 74, of Arnoldsburg, WV, passed away on January 27, 2024, at Stonewall Jackson Hospital, Weston, WV, at 7:35 p.m., surrounded by family, due to an extended illness.</p><p><br></p><p>James was born on June 3, 1949, in Gilmer County, WV, a son of the late Jeral Dean and Flora Jenkins Langford. </p><p><br></p><p>In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by son Aaron James Langford, step-son. Christopher McVaney, two sisters Catherine Losh and Patricia Sprouse, and one brother Jack Jenkins.</p><p><br></p><p>James is survived by his wife Dianna (Luzader) Langford, two grandchildren Destiny and Aaron Langford of Arnoldsburg, WV, one step-daughter Kaitlin (Johnathan) Browning of Lincoln County, WV, two sisters Scarlett Lattea of Glenville, WV and Opal (Johnnie) Glasper of North Carolina, and several nieces and nephews that he loved.</p><p><br></p><p>James worked as a roofer and other various jobs in his lifetime. James loved to play with his grandchildren, eat candy work on vehicles, and listen to gospel music on the radio.</p><p><br></p><p>James’ request for cremation has been granted. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Stump Funeral Home &amp; Cremation, Inc., Arnoldsburg, WV, is honored to assist the Langford family with James’ final arrangements.
