Paulette Taylor, 77, of Thornton, WV, passed away on Friday, January 26, 2024 at her daughter’s home in Newburg. She was born in Simpson on June 19, 1946, a daughter of the late Fred and Ida Smith.

She was last surviving member of her immediate family having also been preceded in death by her siblings: Edward Smith, Bertzel Smith, Paul Smith, Carl Smith, Delma Duley, and Mary Shaffer.

Paulette is survived by her husband Randall Owens whom she spent 53 years alongside, six children: Robert Lee Taylor of Thornton, Lucinda McKinnley (John Moats) of Kingwood, Wanda Taylor (Terry Myers) of Grafton, Glenn Taylor (Norma) of Thornton, Shirley “Sherry” Hansen of Newburg, and Randall “Bub” Taylor of Thornton; eight grandchildren: Johnathan Moats, Cynthia Wilson, Amanda Moats, Brian Taylor, Amber Johnson, Tiffany Titchenell, Anthony Taylor, and Shyanne Hansen; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Paulette was a homemaker and very caring and loving to everyone. She especially loved her husband, children, grandchildren, and pets. She enjoyed wildlife and animals of all kinds, and also liked doing canvas crafts. Paulette was ready to go home to Heaven with her loved ones and wanted her family left behind to be happy she is rejoicing now and carry on holding her in their hearts.
