<p>Donald Lee Byers, 81, of Summerton, SC and formerly of&nbsp; Virginia passed away Friday, January 26, 2024, at his home in Summerton, SC. </p><p>Mr. Byers was born in Harrisonburg, VA on July 9, 1942, a son of the late James Burette and Janet Ruth Eckard Byers.&nbsp; He was a retired U.S. Veteran having served in both the U.S. Marine Corp and the U.S. Navy. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters Shirley Ann Mason and Kay Miller. </p><p>Survivors include his loving wife Linda Lou Worley Byers; his children Delbert Daniel Byers, Michael Lee Byers, Robert Lee Byers, and Kimberly Dawn Jackson; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.&nbsp; </p><p>A funeral service for Mr. Byers will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Stover Funeral Home.&nbsp; Mr. Byers will be laid to rest at Riverview Cemetery with full military honors given by Shenandoah American legion Post 77, Strasburg, VA. </p><p>The family will receive friends at Stover Funeral Home on Friday evening from 6-8 P.M. </p><p>Memorials may be given to a charity of one’s choice. </p><p>You may sign the guestbook and submit your condolences to the family at www.stoverfuneralhome.com.&nbsp; </p><p>Stover Funeral Home and Crematory, Strasburg, VA is serving the family of Donald Lee Byers. </p>

Donald Lee Byers, 81, of Summerton, SC and formerly of  Virginia passed away Friday, January 26, 2024, at his home in Summerton, SC.
