Linda B. Henry, age 73, of Louisville, Illinois, died on Wednesday, November 11, 2015. Linda was born November 6, 1942 in Mattoon to Charles Melvin and Rosa Blanche (Pugh) Pygott. Her first job at the age of 16 was as a telephone operatorat Bell Telephone. At the age of 23, this single mother left her hometown for the city life of Springfield where she worked for numerous attorneys as a secretary and eventually worked her way up to the Sangamon County State's Attorney's office. In 1978, she relocated to Clay County and it became her home. She worked at Hella Electronics as a secretary to the president, as a receptionist at Dowell-Schlumberger, as the manager of the C-Mart convenience store, and retired from Effingham Equity where she worked in the grain department. Linda loved country music, dancing with Delton, crossword puzzles, vacations, and spending time with the love of her life, Delton Blair. She always talked about how she wished she would have met him first so she could have loved him longer. Linda is survived by a brother, Herbert Pygott of Neoga; two sisters, Charlene Hall of Clay City and Nancy (Don) Seibert of Mattoon; her partner of 31 years, Delton Blair; his three children, Christine (Bill Martell), Hope (Ryan Horath), and Gabe (Stacey) Blair; his nine grandchildren, Jada and Bo Wiley, Evan and Reid Lake, Dalton, Briar, McKenzi, Stormie, and Gabby Blair; his three great-grandchildren, Lilly Mae Young, Emma Lee and Ember Lynn Blair; life long friends, Patsy and Leroy Scott; her daughter, Kelly (Doug) Hemrich; her grandchildren, Steven (Ashley Zimmerman) Hostettler and Jared (Jeanie) Hamilton; and her great-grandchildren, Kayla, Zalen, Jared, Damien and Lyla Hamilton, Jaylyn Smith, Connor Frohning, and Elizabeth Hostettler. Linda was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers Bob, Gene, Dave, and Danny Pygott; her granddaughter, Jami Hamilton; and Delton's son, Donald Blair. Linda requested cremation andthere will be no funeral, no visitation,nor memorial service but the Blair's will host a Celebration of Life at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Delton Blair for the benefit of Linda's great-grandchildren. Frank Bright Funeral Home in Flora is assisting the family with arrangements.
