<p><a href="https://www.hdezwebcast.com/show/randy-mcgeoch-funeral-services" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Click here to watch Live Stream</a></p><p><br></p><p>Argyle, NY</p><p><br></p><p>Randy Malcolm McGeoch, 63, passed away on Thursday, January 25th, 2024.</p><p><br></p><p>The youngest of three children, Randy was born on May 4th, 1960 to the late Donald and Naida</p><p>McGeoch. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister and brother-in-law,</p><p>Melanie and David Swinton.</p><p><br></p><p>Randy graduated from Argyle Central School in 1978 where he participated in jazz band, drama</p><p>club, sports teams and even DJ’d school dances. He remained a member of the Argyle</p><p>Methodist Church until his passing.</p><p><br></p><p>Throughout his life, Randy was an active volunteer firefighter and served several years as</p><p>Assistant Chief for the J.A. Barkley Hose Co. No. 1. He had a knack for engaging others while</p><p>“emceeing” various Fire Prevention Week assemblies and Junior Prom Accident drills; his role</p><p>as Santa Claus showcased his friendliness and good-nature.</p><p>Randy was also an EMT for the Argyle Emergency Squad where he spent countless years saving, helping, and comforting those in the community. Additionally, he was employed as a security guard at Wilton Mall for over a</p><p>decade and served as a dispatcher for Washington County. In all professions, Randy’s</p><p>dedication, commitment, and achievements were honored and commended with various</p><p>designations, awards, and recognitions.</p><p><br></p><p>A talented musician, Randy spent his entire life playing bass guitar for a number of local bands.</p><p>Some of which include Violation, Ghostrider, Haywire, and the Jonathan Newell Band – he was</p><p>also an avid KISS fan. Randy appeared on several local news network specials and even</p><p>opened for Neal McCoy at the Altamont Fair.</p><p><br></p><p>Randy most enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Ever the host, he held backyard</p><p>barbecues each summer and found joy in celebrating all occasions, big or small. A favorite</p><p>pastime was spending days at Hampton Beach, swimming and eating delicious food. Even as a</p><p>loyal Giants fan, Randy had the opportunity in January 1995 to watch the SuperBowl 29</p><p>(Chargers v. 49ers) live in Miami, FL.</p><p><br></p><p>He is remembered for his kindness, generosity, and sense</p><p>of humor. Randy made everyone feel included by continuously extending invites and sharing</p><p>anecdotes with those in the community. </p><p><br></p><p>Randy is survived by his older brother, Terry McGeoch (Anne); his nieces and nephews,</p><p>Jennifer Swinton, Jamie Rossi (Frank), Andrew Swinton (Natalie), Christopher Swinton (Jennifer</p><p>Weiss), Grace McGeoch (Cody Zabit), and Kathryn McGeoch as well as several</p><p>grandnieces/nephews and cousins.</p><p><br></p><p>Loved by many in the community, friends and family are welcome to attend his Memorial Service</p><p>on Monday, January 29th, 2024 at 2:00pm at the Argyle United Methodist Church. Reception and continued celebration of Randys life will be held directly after in the church’s Sheridan Hall.</p><p><br></p><p>Donations in Randy’s memory can be made to the J.A. Barkley Hose Co. No.1, Argyle</p><p>Emergency Squad or a charity of one’s choice.</p>

Randy Malcolm McGeoch, 63, passed away on Thursday, January 25th, 2024.
