<p>Richard Park Arnold</p><p><br></p><p>Richard Park Arnold, avid outdoorsman and beloved family member and friend to many, passed away on January 11, 2024 from natural causes at his home in Reno, NV. Park was born in Oakland, CA on September 14, 1948 to Richard Keith Arnold and Helen D. Arnold.</p><p><br></p><p>He retired from the airline industry after 37 years as a customer service representative for Northwest, Hughes Airwest, Republic, and Delta Airlines. Through his airlines employment Park lived in multiple states including Michigan, Virginia, California, Oregon, Idaho, and finally Reno, Nevada.</p><p><br></p><p>Throughout his life Park excelled in various outdoor recreation activities including hiking, camping, kayaking, snowshoeing, and cross country and downhill skiing. His skiing took him multiple times to Europe and Canada. As a hiker, he was able to summit 14,000’ Mount Whitney in California two times after age 65.</p><p><br></p><p>Family and friends often remarked that if you had something you needed help with, Park would be there as a willing and engaged participant. If you left something at home while hiking, skiing, or camping, Park always seemed to carry extras of everything to share.</p><p><br></p><p>Park was predeceased by both parents and by brothers Bruce (wife Janice) and Robert.</p><p><br></p><p>He is survived by his brothers and sister and their spouses: Ross (Chris), Michael (Laurie), Anita (Steve), and Lee (Mehlinae). He was particularly fond of and participated frequently in the lives of nieces and nephews: Tava (Dara), Betsy (Chad), Keith (Christina) and Arein (Leah).</p><p><br></p><p>A Celebration of Life will be held in the future. Donations in Park’s name may be made to the charity of your choice.</p><p><br></p>
