<p>Lorraine M. (Martel) Gervais, 87, passed away at home in Chepachet, on Sunday, January 21, 2024. She was the wife of the late Alfred E. Gervais Sr. Born in Webster, MA, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Rose (LeMay) Martel.</p><p>Lorraine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She worked as an LPN at Zambarano Hospital and Overlook Nursing Home, both in Pascoag, for many years and was awarded the distinction of LPN of the Year in 1988 for the State of Rhode Island. She was a longtime member of St. Joseph's Church in Pascoag.</p><p>She is survived by her son, Alfred E. Gervais Jr. of Chepachet; her sister, Geraldine Cole of Harrisville; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter, Christine Schiffmann and siblings: Raymond and Eugene Martel, Lillian Grzyb, Irene Grzyb, Rosalie Tessier and Louise Lefler.</p><p>Lorraine's funeral will be held Tuesday, January 30, 2024, beginning with visitation from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM in the Boucher Funeral Home, 272 Sayles Ave., Pascoag and followed with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Joseph's Church, 183 Sayles Ave., Pascoag. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Pascoag Main St., Pascoag.</p><p>www.boucherfh.com</p><p><br></p>
