Floyd George Bortz, Sr.

<p>Ringling - Cremation services are scheduled for Mr. Floyd George Bortz, Sr.&nbsp; 93, of Ringling at Alexander Gray Crematory of Ringling. Services will be held at a later date at Cardington, Ohio.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Floyd was born Feb. 12, 1930 at Bechtelsville, PA to the late Mr. Jonathan George Bortz and Mrs Verna R. (Benfield) Bortz. He crossed over on Thursday Jan. 25, 2024 at Ardmore, OK.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Floyd served in the United States Army as a Staff Sgt, also as a military policeman and CID, during the Korean War. He worked within the Uranium Mines at Anaconda, AZ for several years. He moved to Ringling in 1996, be closer to his family. He loved hunting, fishing and woodworking. He was of the Christian faith.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Preceding him in death are his parents; wife, Rosemary (Keen) Bortz and stepson, Tony Bortz.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Survivors include his children, Floyd Bortz, Jr., Yvonne Eastep, Greta Skeems, Jon Bortz and Curtis Bortz; stepchildren, Ramona Johnson and Daniel Wolf; siblings, Chester, Mae, Dorothy, Virginia, Russell, Linda, David, Butch, and Anna; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>Condolences may be sent online at www.alexandergrayfh.com</p><p><br></p>
