<p>Eleanore was born on July 12, 1937 and Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at home on January 22, 2024</p><p><br></p><p>She was born to Clifford and Minnie Nienhuis and resided in Oak Harbor her entire life. She attended and graduated from Oak Harbor High School with the class of 1955. After she graduated She married Leonard Lang and became a mother to two sons Steve and Larry and her daughter Jenni.</p><p><br></p><p>A Woman of many talents Eleanore worked both as a meat wrapper and an Avon representative, before she found the love of working with children becoming a teachers aid. Eleanore Enjoyed being at Clover Valley where she watched her grandkids go through elementary school.</p><p><br></p><p>In 1987 Eleanore married her soulmate Max Melton and began a life full of love and adventures. Max and Eleanore traveled to many states, Hawaii being her favorite, and abroad to Europe visiting many countries including her root country Utreckt, Holland where she was able to walk down the same streets as her Grandmother. Eleanore also was an active member of the Oak Harbor Garden Club for many years. She loved to compete with her beautiful arrangements and place settings, winning many ribbons. As she aged Eleanore slowed down to shorter trips and less time in her yard but never missed a family gathering or sporting event. She believed her greatest accomplishment was building and raising such a beautiful and amazing family that she loved so dearly.</p><p><br></p><p>She was proceeded in death by her parents Clifford and Minnie Nienhuis, as well as her sister Evelyn Jones.</p><p><br></p><p>She is survived by her Faithful husband Max Melton, her two brothers David (Marilyn) Nienhuis and Chuck (Sherri) Nienhuis, her children Steve (Patti) Lang, Larry (kay) Lang, Jenni (Ron) Clark, her Grandchildren Elise (Ramiro) Santoyo, Mandy (Jason) Koelbl, Brian (Adrienne) Lang, Brent (Kristin) Lang, Kevin (Lacey) Lang, Jory (Krystal) Clark, Justyne Clark. Also her Great Grandchildren Vanessa, Victoria &amp; Ethan Santoyo, Maci &amp; Wade Koelbl, Shelby, Carson, Willow &amp; Charlotte Lang, Trevor, Ava, Tessa, &amp; Vivianne Lang, Connor &amp; Savannah Lang, Ella &amp; Jax Clark, and Audrey Bliss.</p><p><br></p><p>A celebration of Eleanore's life will be held on Friday February 9, 2024 at 12:00pm at Wallin-Stucky Funeral Home in Oak Harbor, WA.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p>
