Violet Ione Watson Obituary

Violet Ione Watson

age 68, loving mother and wife, passed away peacefully January 19th, 2024 due to a short battle with Cancer. She was born September 29th in Pockwolk, Hammond Plains Nova Scotia to Thema and John Dewolfe in 1955. She married her high school friend and love William (Bill) Watson April 27th, 1973.

Violet is best known for her baking and cooking. She was always in the kitchen baking good for gatherings which she never showed up with just one or two types of squares but more like 6 to 10 different squares and sweets. Violet also loved to fill the time when she wasn't cooking with knitting and embroidery.

Violet was also an avid sports fan. She played basketball and baseball from high school and carried on the love of baseball in her adult years to the prospect baseball league. During every season, every weekend there was a sporting event playing on Violet's TV. She loved watching basketball (Raptors), baseball (Blue Jays), hockey, skating, skiing and curling just to name a few. Needless to say the Olympics held a special place in the house with Violet.

Violet worked as a Nursing Orderly first in the OLD Camp Hill Hospital and then in the Veterans Memorial Hospital. She retired from NSHA with over 25 years of service.

Violet is survived by her husband of 50years William Watson; daughter Tammy Watson; sister, Elizabeth Clark; sister, Carol Conrod (Gilbert Jack)¡; brother Terrance (Junior) DeWolfe (Joyce - deceased); sister, Donna Clarke; brother, Richard Clarke; sister, Cheryl (Chere) Waters; brother, Donnie Clarke and brother Harris Dewolf (Judy - deceased) who preceded her in death.

There will be a celebration of life for Violet at a later time.
