Geraldine "Geri" Rinz Obituary

Geraldine “Geri” Rinz (Budzinski)

Our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Geri Rinz passed away at the age of 91 on January 24, 2024 with her family by her side. Geri was born December 31, 1932 in Bay City, Michigan to the late Floyd and Irene (Wisniewski) Budzinski. Geri married her best friend Robert J. Rinz September 25, 1954, he preceded her in death in May of 1988. Geri was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa - St. Hyacinth Church, where she also dedicated 30 faithful years as a secretary. She looked forward to bowling, card games, bus trips to the Casino and traveling. Her fondest memories were traveling around the United States with her friends, from planes, trains, to automobiles. Most of all, her family, especially the grandkids meant the most to her and time with them was priceless. When Geri was home passing time, you were sure to find her cleaning or enjoying her neighborhood watch duties from her large window.

Here to cherish her memory are children: Cathie (Jim) Conlin of Florida, Nancy (Mark) Suchodolski of Michigan, Lisa Rinz of Maine; grandchildren: Jamey (Jay) Listerman of Florida, Jessica (Sam) Ramirez of Florida, Amanda Rinz of Michigan; great-grandchildren: Everett, Trigg, Robert, Rickey; siblings: Mary Ann Cichocki, Tom (Karen) Budzinski, Richard (Kay) Budzinski; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Robert J. Rinz; son, Rick Rinz; parents, Floyd and Irene Budzinski; brother, Bill Budzinski; and mother and father-in-law, Frank and Martha Rinz.

Geri’s family would like to extend gratitude and a special thank you to the staff at Brookdale Senior Living for the wonderful care she and her family received there.
