Bettie Rudd Barnette

Mrs. Bettie Rudd Barnette, age 77 of Brodnax, died Tuesday, January 23 at her home. She is survived by her husband, Robert Barnette, Jr.; four children, Tracey Thomas (Wes) of Warrenton, NC, Heather Griffin of Bullock, NC, Bobbi Jo Nuss of Brodnax, VA, Tony Barnette (Ashley) of Warrenton NC and 19 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Suzanne Carpenter of NC. She was proceeded in death by her parents George Leonard Rudd and Grace Mae Fleming Rudd and one grandson.

Mrs. Barnette was a faithful member of South Hill Church of God and loved sharing her love of the Lord. Bettie and Robert loved life and she was no doubt the love of his life. She was always ready for a road trip at the drop of a hat, being by his side as much as time would allow. Bettie loved her family, friends and most of all, dancing through life with her husband, Robert.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1pm, Saturday, January 27 at South Hill Church of God with interment to follow in Oliver Church Cemetery, Forksville, VA. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6-8 at Farrar Funeral Home of South Hill. Memorial considerations in her memory may be directed to the charity of your choice.
