BLUE RIDGE, VA – Keith Wesley Long, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2024, at his home in Blue Ridge, VA. Born October 20, 1966, he was the son of Donald and Lois Long. Keith was a loving brother, devoted friend, and most importantly, the best father ever created. Keith had many lifelong friends which is a true testament to his kind and selfless spirit. He always had a positive attitude and rarely met a stranger. Keith loved his daughter more than words can express. He found happiness in his many long, adventurous motorcycle rides. He loved to spread joy during his favorite holiday, Christmas, often decorating his home to be the best and brightest on the block.

Keith was preceded in death by his grandparents, Quinton and Thelma Jennings; and one nephew, Kaden Long.

In addition to his parents, survivors include his daughter, Payton Long; sisters, Regina Sale, Donna Dyer and husband Greg, Darlene Palmer and husband Kenny, and Marlene Wertz and husband Reggie; one brother, Kevin Long and wife Robin; nieces, Kristen Christianson and husband David, Tiffany Majkowski and husband Mike, Samara Palmer, Brandie Jannay and husband Zach, Madison Long, Leigha Long, Kayla Long, and Hannah Long; nephews, Christopher Sale and wife Jordan, David Foster and wife Sara, Isaac Palmer, Matthew Wertz and wife Kelsey, Anthony Wertz and wife Kaleigh, and Tyey Long; and great nieces and nephews, Charlotte, Karlee, Olivia, Madison, Lily, Rylee, Preston, Mia, Brayden, and Jaxson.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, January 26, 2024, at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel in Peterstown, WV, with Dr. Stephen Miller officiating. Burial will follow at the Peterstown Cemetery in Rich Creek, VA. Visitation will be held from 12:00PM until time of services on Friday at the funeral home.
