John G. Faulkner

<p>Faulkner, John G, age 73 of Bellbrook, passed away Monday, January 22, 2024, at his residence.</p><p><br></p><p>John graduated from Bellbrook High School, class of 1968. He retired from the City of Bellbrook as the Water Superintendent in 2006 after 32 years of dedicated service.</p><p><br></p><p>John was family oriented, hard working, strong willed, helpful and caring to others. He was the type of guy who showed up to display his care versus just using his words. John gave 100% in all that he did and was known as a great neighbor to many in the Bellbrook community. He had a passion for cars, motorcycles and boats. Basically anything that was loud and fast. His pride and joy was his 1970 Plymouth AAR Cuda. John greatly enjoyed the process of restoring his car and showing it for many years. In the process he earned quite the trophy collection. John also had a love of Corvettes, Harley Davidson motorcycles and speed boats. Spending time on the lake, boating and water skiing were some of his favorite times with family and friends. John also enjoyed having family to his home for cookouts in the summer, where he would share food that he grew in his garden, holiday dinners and playing cards. He really enjoyed to cook meals for family and friends. He was a big movie and music buff, especially county music, in which he liked attending concerts and having late night movie binges. John was quite handy and enjoyed home renovation projects and wood working. Among all these things he will be remembered most for the love he had for his daughter and grandson. They were truly his pride and joy.</p><p><br></p><p>John was preceded in death by his loving wife Anna Joyce Faulkner as well as his parents Russell Faulkner Jr. and Eleanor Jane Porcha. He is survived by his daughter Tonya Renee Singleton; grandson Sean Singleton; and two sisters Judith (Ed) Beekman and Karen (Charles) Prince.</p><p><br></p><p>Funeral services will be held at 11 am Saturday, January 27th at Conner &amp; Koch Funeral Home in Bellbrook. Burial will be at the Bellbrook Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Friday at Conner &amp; Koch Funeral Home. Condolences at www. connerandkoch.com</p>
