Dean Ellsworth of Thompson, Manitoba tragically passed away at home on January 17, 2024, at the age of 54 years. It is with great sorrow and love that we mourn the passing of Dean.

He was born Dean William Ellsworth on September 10, 1969, to Leander and Elizabeth Ellsworth in St. Anthony, Newfoundland. Dean moved to Thompson, Manitoba in 1985 to live with his brother Les and Joyce Ellsworth.

Dean enjoyed cooking and carpentry and was employed by several businesses over the years in Thompson and at the time of his death, he was employed by the Northern Inn, Thompson, Manitoba. Dean was always fun to be around with his laugh and many jokes that he loved to tell. There was never a dull moment when he was around.

Dean is predeceased by his son Skyler Dean Ellsworth, his parents Leander and Elizabeth Ellsworth, as well as his brother Garry, as well as grandparents, numerous uncles, aunts, brother in-laws, nephews, and nieces.

He is survived by his daughter Emily and son Gary, grandchildren Jazlyn, Jeremiah, Jayla, Joyce and Josiah, Brothers Lee (Norma) of Springdale, NL, Donald (Ann-Margaret) of Thompson, MB, Les (Joyce) of North Bay, Ontario, Sisters Leta of Cambridge, Nova Scotia, Barbara (Tom) of Thompson, Manitoba, Judy of Thompson, Manitoba, Madeline (Wayne) of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Karen (Glen) of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Sandra (Steve) of Thompson, Manitoba and numerous nephews and nieces.

The family would like to thank all of Dean’s friends who have come along in a very supportive way. Dean had a lot of friends and will be missed.

Viewing to take place at Boardman/Northland Funeral Home , 28 Nelson Road in Thompson, Manitoba on Friday, January 26th from 6:00—8:00pm. Funeral Service will take place at the Thompson Pentecostal Assembly at 126 Goldeye Crescent in Thompson, Manitoba on Saturday January 27, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. Les Ellsworth (Dean’s brother) will be officiating. Cremation will take place and Dean will be laid to rest later in the Thompson Cemetery, Thompson, Manitoba.
