Michael Anthony Lyles Sr., 67 of Hagerstown, MD departed this life on January 7, 2024, at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, MD. He was born April 14,1956 to the late John F. Lyle Sr., and Helena Lyles in Damascus, MD.

Michael is survived by devoted friend Cora (Virginia) Turpin of Hagerstown, MD., his daughter Tonia Lyles, two sons Michael Lyles Jr. and Jonanthan Lyles all of Frederick, MD., three grandsons Michael Lyles, Devin Lyles both of Germantown, MD and Andrew Lyles of Westminster, MD and two granddaughters Brooke Lyles and Brianna Washington both of Frederick, MD.

He will be dearly missed by his siblings; Sarah Anderson (Charles) of Mt. Airy, MD. Iona Lyles, Rudell Lyles and Tyrone Lyles all of Damascus, MD. Two sister- in- laws Barbara Lyles of Walkersville, MD. and Pauline Lyles of Gaithersburg, MD. He was preceded in death by his brothers, John Lyles Jr., Robert Lyles and Henry Lyles. He also had numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Michael was educated in the Montgomery County Public School System. He was employed by Montgomery County Public Schools for numerous years until he retired. Michael loved to watch old westerns and the Washington Commander football games. He also enjoyed spending time with his siblings and cooking on the grill. In his younger days he loved to play his guitar, listening to music (Otis Redding and Percy Sledge), hunting and fishing.

Friends may call Saturday, January 27 at Molesworth-Williams Funeral Home, 26401 Ridge Road, Damascus, Maryland 20872 from 12:00 noon until funeral services begin at 1:00 p.m. Inurnment will be private.
