Joseph Heilmeier

Joseph Heilmeier was born August 12, 1941, in New York City and moved to South Ozone Park in 1948 where he resided the remainder of his life. He attended school at Saint Clement Pope and Bishop Loughlin High School. After graduation he worked as a fire insurance adjuster.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Frida Beck Heilmeier, and his brother, Edmund Heilmeier. He is survived by his cousin, Frieda Giunco, Freehold, NJ, sister-in-law, Ella Heilmeier, Dover, NJ, two nieces, and a nephew.

Joseph was a very likeable, loyal person with a pleasant personality and a keen sense of humor. He was an avid newspaper and magazine reader, which made him a lively conversationalist. He enjoyed attending hockey games and movies.
