<p>SCHMIDT: Tony</p><p>November 20, 1961 – January 21, 2024</p><p>It is with great sadness that the family of Tony Schmidt announce his passing at the age of 62 on January 21, 2024 after a heroic battle with lung cancer. </p><p>Tony is survived by his wife Cheryl; sons Terence (Anita), Derrick (Jen); grandchildren Zach, Teneille (Harvey), Ben, Ellie; mother Eleonora; siblings Stuart (Patty), Tim (Janine), Fern; brother-in-laws Darren, Brian (Cindy).</p><p>Tony was predeceased by his father Peter; brother Roger; mother-in-law Olive; father-in-law Werner; sister in-law Cindy.</p><p>Tony will be remembered for the love he had for his family, especially his grandchildren, toothpicks, and the Saskatchewan Roughriders!</p><p>A Memorial Service will take place at Nokomis Centennial Hall, Nokomis, SK on Monday, January 29, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Rick Shott officiating. A Private Family Interment will take place in Nokomis Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made “In memory of Tony Schmidt” to the Canadian Lung Association or the Saskatchewan Cancer Foundation.
