Delores Werner
<p>K. Delores Werner entered the kingdom of God on January 18, 2024. She was born April 4, 1927, to Anna (Sell) and Ralph Poppe, on a farm northwest of Chester, Nebraska. </p><p>She was baptized in the Lutheran faith on May 22, 1927. Delores was confirmed on April 6, 1941. She graduated from the Hebron High School on May 6, 1945. She was united in marriage with Robert J. Werner on November 24, 1946. This union was blessed with three children, William, John and Patricia. They lived in Thayer county their entire lives, most of the time in Hebron. </p><p>Delores was a stay at home mom and babysat many children over the years. At the age of 50, she went to work outside the home. She started working at Blue Valley Lutheran Home as a CNA on August 3, 1977, until the young age of 90, when she retired on December 17, 2017. She set the bar very high for all of us! </p><p>Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Robert; daughter, Patricia; sister, Lucille; a brother, Ralph and a great granddaughter, Hope. </p><p>Surviving are her children, William, and John and wife, Sheila; grandchildren: Dustin Michels; Susan Werner Ward and husband, James; Julie Werner Ahrens and husband, Chris; Patrick Werner and wife, Elizabeth; her great grandchildren: Marybelle, Allen, Emillia and Shayla Ward; Leah, Bethany and Tara Ahrens; Vincent, Anabela, Francesca, Jameson, Benjamin and Gerado Werner; a sister, Clara Ough; other relatives and a host of friends. </p><p>Funeral services were Friday, 10:30 am, January 26, 2024, at Grace Lutheran Church in Hebron with Rev. Keith Brozek officiating.
