Pierre Lucien Duguay Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family and friends say goodbye to Pierre L. Duguay who passed away peacefully with family by his side on Saturday, January 20th,2024.

Pierre was married to Diane Gale Wooden who predeceased Pierre 3 years earlier. Pierre is survived by his sons: Mike Duguay, Don (Sherry) Duguay, John Duguay; grandchildren: Rya, Aislinn, Blair and a great grandson Oliver Whyte.

Pierre was born in Smoothrock Falls Ontario on May 2nd,1942, he was the youngest son of John and Lucy Duguay and was predeceased by sisters: Laurette, Hermine, Lina and brother (and best buddy) John.

He lived most of his younger life in Marathon, Ontario and joined the Navy in 1960 where he met Diane and his Navy buddy Rod Cameron (who remained friends throughout the years). Pierre worked in the mining industry for 30 plus years which he retired from and moved out West to Saskatchewan in 2008.

Pierre always loved working with his hands and no matter where he lived, he always had a workshop to keep himself busy in. He will be remembered for his quick wit and charm with who ever was around him.

Thank you to the staff of Nirvana where Pierre lived for the last year. Your support and kindness will never be forgotten.
