SHERMAN, TX – Terah Lynn “Leroy” McClaugherty, age 66, lost his battle with cancer and passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2024, at his home in Sherman, TX. Born November 22, 1957, in Pearisburg, VA, he was the son of the late Noah E. and Mabel R. Reed McClaugherty. Leroy worked for Texas Instruments for over 30 years and retired as the lead high voltage journey electrician. He loved Harleys, old cars, and his family. He could talk to anyone and enjoyed good conversations and food. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be missed dearly.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Travis Lee McClaugherty. Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 40 years, Cheryl McClaugherty; one son, Steven McClaugherty and wife Sara of Sherman, TX; one daughter, Casey Lillis and husband Hayden of Sherman, TX; one brother, Dorlan McClaugherty and wife Denise of Grandview, TX; one sister, Belinda Hager and husband Timmy of Peterstown, WV; three grandchildren, Noah, Lylia, and Emory; and several special nieces and nephews.
