William A. Harvey, 61, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2024 with his loving family by his side.

Born in Amsterdam, NY on September 3, 1962, he was the son of the late Donald P. and Mary E. Gillan Harvey.

Billy was raised in Amsterdam and was a 1980 graduate of Amsterdam High School.

He was last employed at Grand Union and P&C Market in Cobleskill, NY.

Billy was an avid outdoors man who loved to fish. He enjoyed football and was a big fan of the Las Vegas Raiders.

He was also predeceased by his loving brother, Greg Harvey and his nephew, Dickie Smullen.

Billy is survived by his sisters, Mary (Tom) Baker of Amsterdam, Kathy Harvey of Clifton Park, NY, Andrea (Greg) Matthews of St. John’s Fl; brothers, Jeff Harvey of Vero Beach, Fl; and Dennis Smullen (Marybeth) of Amsterdam. Many nieces, nephews and his good friend, Frank LaBarbera of Vermont.

A graveside memorial service will be held this spring at St Mary’s Cemetery with a date and time to be announced.
