Allen "Lefty" Wayne Pruitt, 65, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital. Lefty was born in Evansville, Indiana on September 6, 1952 to the late Barnett and Margie (Johnson) Pruitt. He retired from Berry Plastics. Lefty was an avid IU, St. Louis Cardinals, and Colts fan. He loved to barbecue and cook. Lefty loved being around family and friends and was always the jokester. Lefty is survived by his wife of 28 years, Karin (Stricker) Pruitt; sons, Anthony Coffman, Jr., Timothy Coffman and Otis Pruitt all of Evansville, IN; sister, Debra Murty (Mark) of Evansville, IN; brother, Robert Pruitt of Rochester, KY; grandchildren, Baylee Coffman, Lainey Coffman, and Carter Coffman; and a great-grandson, Bentley Nau. Lefty was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Lynda Roach. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, March 30, 2018 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave. with Pastor Darrell Rice officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit from 9:30 AM until service time on Friday, March 30, 2018 at Browning Funeral Home.
