It is with loving hearts that Ted's family announces his passing on Friday January 12, 2024 at Haldimand War Memorial Hospital in his 92nd year. Beloved husband to Brenda Boorsma (nee Longster). Stepfather to Julie & Doug Sutton and Paul & Sheryl Downey. Proud grandfather to William (Emily), Megan (Matt), Gillian (Tony), Kelsey and Erich. Cherished great grandfather to Posie, Ezra, Atlas, SiennaRose, Lily, William, Jack, Brooke and Hunter. Ted will be fondly remembered by his siblings Diane Posthuma, Grace & Albert Van Der Vliet and Ed & Wilma Boorsma; surviving Sisters-in-law Clara, Ann Flikkema, and Rhea. Ted will be sadly missed my many nieces and nephews. Ted is predeceased by his parents Durk & Murkje Boorsma, siblings John, David, Rints, Gerrit & Margaret Boorsma and brothers in-law Sybrent Posthuma & Keith Longster. A special thank you to the staff at the Haldimand War Memorial Hospital for the care that Ted received during his time with them.

In keeping with Ted's wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held in the spring. In memory of Ted, donations to Dunnville Hospital and Healthcare Foundation would be appreciated by his family.
