<p>It is with heavy hearts, the family of Theresa Hrechka announce her peaceful passing on Jan 10, 2024, at the age 74, after a courageous battle with cancer. </p><p><br></p><p>Theresa, affectionately known as Terry to her family and friends, was born in Tisdale, SK, on Aug. 7, 1949, to Frank &amp; Marion Nagel, the second youngest of four. Her younger years started out on the farm in the district of Norwood, near Star City. There she attended the rural community school, riding their beloved horse Star to and from school. The family would later relocate the farmyard to Tisdale were she attended and graduated high school in 1968. Terry attended Melfort collage in 1970 where she obtained a diploma in Business Education. </p><p><br></p><p>Terry met Ed in 1965 and they were later married in July of 1971. Terry and Ed moved to Edmonton for a few years before returning to Saskatchewan, residing in the Crooked River District to farm. They raised their three children there until they sold the farm and moved into Tisdale in 1995. </p><p><br></p><p>She had many great passions, researching to preserve family history, bowling with her friends, and collecting antiques. But mostly Terry’s life was dedicated to her family, always willing to lend a helping hand. She never missed an opportunity to spend time with her kids and grandkids, she would make time to attend every event possible. She loved life and lived it to her fullest with a great sense of humour and a gift for storytelling which she shared with all.</p><p><br></p><p>Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 52 years Ed, her children: Terrilyn (Jaime) Hrechka, Rob (Kim) Hrechka and Becky (Chad) Fisher, her grandchildren: Jennifer, Gavin, Cole, Tyson, Grace, and Austin and great grandchildren Mark and Noah. Her siblings Lynn Cresswell and Cam (Murial) Nagel; as well as many other relatives and friends. </p><p><br></p><p>Terry was predeceased by her parents Frank and Marion Nagel, sister Patricia Joan Nagel, parents-in-law Pete and Josephine Hrechka and brother-in-law Gordon Cresswell. </p><p><br></p><p>Funeral service will be held on January 27, 2024 at the Anglican Church in Tisdale at 11:00 am. Donations in memory of Terry can be made to St. Matthews Anglican Church in Tisdale.
