Passed peacefully away at the Central Newfoundland Health Care Centre at Grand Falls-Windsor on Thursday, January 11, 2024, Marjorie Elizabeth Johnston, age 84 years of Harbour Breton.

Marjorie leaves to mourn her loving family: sons, Edward (Rhonda) at Harbour Breton and Thomas (Penny) at Holyrood, NL; daughter, Angela Tibbo (Wade) at Harbour Breton; grandchildren, Marsha (Frank Jarvis Jr.) at Paradise, Gina Prior, Lorna (Gerald Bursey) at Buchans and Allison (Chris) at Holyrood; great grandchildren, Ethan, Mia, Jorja, Olivia, Cole and Claire; sisters, Martha Hickey at Harbour Breton, Mary Stacy at Paradise and Gertie (Thomas Hickey) at Harbour Breton; home care support workers, Trina Tibbo and Charlene Spencer, both at Harbour Breton; special friend, Mona Fudge at Harbour Breton; as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends.

Marjorie was predeceased by her husband, William Johnston; granddaughter, Gina Prior; daughter in law, Dorothy Johnston; brothers, Thomas Whittle, David Whittle, Edward Whittle, John Whittle, Peter Whittle and Reginald Whittle; brothers in law, James Hickey and Rene Stacey; sister, Martha; parents, Edward and Elizabeth Whittle; parents in law, William and Martha Johnston.

Visitations took place at Spencer’s Funeral Home at Harbour Breton on Saturday, January 13 and Sunday, January 14 from 2pm to 4pm and from 7pm to 9pm both days.

Funeral Service was held on Monday, January 15, 2024 at 10:30am at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church with Father David Joy officiating. Burial followed at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Harbour Breton.
