Mary Linda Corner Obituary

Mary Corner (nee Van Raamsdonk)

December 10th, 1955 - January 9th, 2024

It is with great sadness we announce the death of Mary, on January 9th, at the age of 68.

She passed peacefully in her home, surrounded by family. She was a much loved wife,

mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, sister-in-law, and friend. She is

survived by Robert, her husband of 45 years; their six children, Sarah (Ryan), Angela

(Ryan), Deborah (Zac), Daniel, Leah (Adam), and Bethany; ten grandchildren, Damien,

Lincoln, Mikayla, Aurora, Grayson, Owen, Thomas, Wade, William and Eleanor; her

parents, Leonard and Shirley Van Raamsdonk; her siblings, John (Laureen), Teresa

(Andrew), Caroline (Gordon predeceased) and Jennifer (Paul); as well as brother and

sister-in-laws, Heather and Byron (Pat). Mary will also be sorely missed by her friends,

extended family, church family, and of course her dog, Toby.

Mary was born in Kingston, Ontario and then spent a short time in Holland before the

family settled back in Kingston and then Georgetown where she did most of her growing

up. Because of her love of animals, she pursued a diploma in Animal Care at Sheridan

College.

While she remained passionate about animals, she dedicated her life to raising her

children and serving the Lord. She was a very active member of the church… a leader in

Calvinettes (GEMs), a member of several church choirs, and spent many years as a

member and leader in her Coffee Break women’s group. She loved spending time in her

garden, listening to music, doing puzzles, or working on various crafts (most recently

creating a menagerie of crocheted animals for all of her grandchildren and others as

well).

Mary was loved by all who knew her and will be sorely missed.
