Irene Macks
<p>MACKS: Irene M.</p><p>February 27, 1930 - January 8, 2024</p><p>Irene was born in Rainy River, Ontario on February 27, 1930. She moved to Watrous in 1965 with her husband Casey Macks. Irene ran the “Beanery” at the CN Train Station. Together Irene and Casey ran the Community Pasture at Nokomis for years. Irene then worked at the home care in the housekeeping department, making many life long friends. Irene enjoyed gardening, flowers, horseshoes, bonfires and family gatherings. Irene loved cats. Irene was predeceased by her husband Casey and is survived by son Larry (Jenny) of Halifax, son Butch (Jean) of Watrous, daughter Christine (Charlie) of Timmins, Ontario and son John of Watrous. Irene is survived by 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren as well. Irene passed away peacefully at Manitou Lodge in the Watrous District Health Complex, Watrous SK on January 8, 2024.
