<p>HOLOWKA, Peter</p><p><br></p><p>Of Orchard Park, NY, unexpectedly, January 7, 2024. Loving son of Donald and Alice (nee D'Auria) Holowka; dear brother of John (Jennifer), James (Kathy), and Jennifer Holowka; dearest uncle of Matthew, Sara, and Grace; dear friend of Dorothy Buchanan. Peter, along with his brother James, owned their family business, Erie Radiator &amp; Core Sales in West Seneca. He was a graduate of both Villanova University (where he also ran cross country/track) and Canisius College. Pete also was an avid fan of the Buffalo Bills and Villanova Wildcats. He was also a member of the Buffalo Scrabble Club and loved to play in trivia tournaments wherever he could. Finally, Peter selflessly invested his time coaching and mentoring numerous track and cross country athletes from Orchard Park and other Western New York high schools and colleges. His passion for the sport of running was unmistakable, and he derived immense joy from witnessing his proteges achieve excellence on the track. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday morning at 10AM at Nativity of Our Lord Church, 26 Thorn Ave., Orchard Park, NY 14127. There will be no prior visitation.
