Larry Joseph Henderson
<p>Larry Joseph Henderson was born on June 8, 1954 in Russell, Manitoba. He was the 9th of 14 children born to Eva and Lawrence Henderson. Larry attended school in St. Lazare and Birtle, Manitoba. At the age of 16 he started his 40-year career with CN. He built bridges with his brother Donald and worked as a brakeman before becoming a conductor which enabled him to travel all over the country.</p><p><br></p><p>Larry was blessed with 4 children: Jason, Jared, Melissa and Philip all whom he loved dearly. In 2000, he met his soulmate, Veronica. They were marred in 2005 and built a beautiful life full of love and friendship, they lived in various locations eventually settling in Archerwill, Saskatchewan.</p><p><br></p><p>Larry loved cars! He also loved fishing, especially the “Boys Only” trips, wild game hunting, walking the dogs and bird hunting with his dogs. He enjoyed gardening and yard work; and was extremely proud of his and Veronica’s large garden and yard.</p><p><br></p><p>Larry was predeceased by his parents Eva and Lawrence, four brothers: Alvin, Donald, Elwood and Robert, father-in-law Daniel Scherr and brother-in-law Ross Meikle.</p><p><br></p><p>Left to cherish his memory is his wife Veronica, their children: Jason, Jared (Rachel), Melissa (Blair), Philip, Sharon (Kelly) and Bruce (Richelle); 9 grandchildren; mother-in-law Rose Scherr; as well as many extended family and friends.</p><p><br></p><p>Funeral Service</p><p>11:00 a.m.</p><p>Saturday, January 6, 2024</p><p>Archerwill Centennial Hall</p><p>Archerwill, Saskatchewan</p><p><br></p><p>Donations may be made to the </p><p>Canadian Cancer Society</p><p>Saskatchewan Branch</p><p>as a token of remembrance</p><p><br></p>Obituary
