Olivia Smith passed away December 24, 2023 at Helen Devos Children’s Hospital surrounded by her family. Olivia was 16 years old.

Olivia attended North Muskegon Public Schools throughout elementary and into high school. Olivia participated in many activities; such as Orchestra, Basketball, Soccer, Cheerleading, Art, and Choir. 

Olivia was quite an Artist and in 3rd grade her art work was displayed at the Muskegon Museum of Art. Olivia received good grades and she loved school.

Olivia was a member of New Bethel Evangelistic Ministries of Muskegon Heights, where her father is the Pastor. Olivia participated in Choir, Youth group, Sunday School, and various seasonal plays. Olivia led prayer every Sunday. Olivia also served on the Youth Advisory Board for the Empowering Youth Today Program; a youth development program sponsored by a grant from the State of Michigan. The program was also sponsored by Catholic Charities West Michigan.

Olivia is proceeded in death by her great grandparents: Homer (Bessie) Vandergriff-Fairbanks, Booker T. Harris, Willie (Claree) Smith, and grandfathers: Larry Fairbanks, Douglass Spencer Sr. her sister: Tiffany Smith; uncles: Gary Fairbanks, Larry Smith, Clyde Harris; Aunts: Gloria Fairbanks, Lois (Amos) Jones and Leona Pimpleton; uncles: Samuel David Swords, Anthony Martin, Christopher Pimpleton, and one nephew: Christian Culp.

Olivia leaves to cherish her memory: her adoptive parents, Rev. Timmy (Kim) Smith; her biological parents: Douglas Spencer Jr. and Jamie Fairbanks; her sisters, Kaitlin

(Taylor) Guikema, Maleah Smith, and Isabelle Smith; her brothers: Douglas Spencer III, Jaiden Smith, Ethan Smith, Benieceo Smith, Timmy (Jessica) Smith II, Anthony (Stacey) Smith; her grandmothers: Sandi Fairbanks, Julie Spencer, Lou Ann Fairbanks; former wife of Larry, her great grandmother: Audrey Harris, and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
