Of Hamburg, NY, born April 22, 1939 and passed away December 30, 2023, at the age of 84. Beloved husband of Martha (nee Morton) Kutas. Youngest son of the late Stanley and late Mary Kutas. Lucian was predeceased by his five siblings, Stanley, Albert, Richard, Lenora and Benjamin. Father of Timothy (Tracy) Kutas, Jeffrey (Lisa) Kutas, and Sandra (Daniel) Mucha. Stepfather of Jason (Jennifer) Stickney and Diana (James) Patterson. Grandfather of Chelsea, Carlton (Chloe), Brandon, Blake, Andrew, Jaclyn, Jake, and Brody. Great grandfather of Rosemary Kutas. Also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.


Tom grew up in the Black Rock neighborhood of Buffalo and was proud of his Polish heritage. He earned an Associate's degree in Metallurgy from Erie Tech and began his career at Moog, while also serving in the National Guard. He then moved into sales, developing a highly successful bread distribution business for Al Cohen Bakery. At the age of 49, he returned to school and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Canisius in marketing.


After a varied career in sales and marketing, he retired to Hamburg with Martha "Marty" and his beloved dog Louie. They traveled extensively and enjoyed numerous weekends at their cottage in Olcott Beach. Tom loved to cook, and was especially famous for his Texas brisket and Shrimp Boils.


The family will be present for a Memorial Gathering on Friday, January 12th from 4-7PM at the (Hamburg Chapel) JOHN J. KACZOR FUNERAL HOME, INC., 5453 Southwestern Blvd (Corner of Rogers Road). A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 13th at 3PM at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 1080 Main St., Buffalo, NY 14209 (Please assemble at the Church). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Tom's name to the American Heart Association, St. Francis High School or Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Tom was full of sayings, and onne of his favorites was “Every day you wake up is a good one.” Today was a good one, he woke up in heaven. Please share condolences at www.kaczorfunerals.com
