Roy R. Walton, Jr, 77, passed away unexpectedly on December 22, 2023 in Reading, PA. Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Jeanette (Montgomery) and Roy Walton, Sr.

Roy found his passion in carpentry and was a proud member of the Reading Carpenter’s Union, working on many large projects throughout his life in Reading and surrounding areas, including many Reading Hospital projects and local schools. After retirement, he created many friendships working part time at Stor4You. He enjoyed camping, fishing, attending dances with his friends, car shows and classic cars, and spending time with his grandchildren. He loved entertaining, and was known to share his stories and memories with anyone who would listen. Roy lived a life of generosity and was

always the first person to lend a helping hand. He will be remembered for his witty humor, and his ability to make anyone laugh.

Left to treasure his memory are his children: Dennis Walton, husband of Lauren Walton of Reading; Stephen Walton, husband of Theresa Walton of Fleetwood; Scott Walton, husband of Suzanne Walton of Berwick, and Bruce Walton of Berwick. Other survivors include his siblings: Naomi Beck, wife of Douglas Beck of Berwick; Judy (Sandy) John, wife of Mark John of Limerick; Albertine (Tiny) Snyder of Berwick; Marian Sheain of Florida; and Stella Morrison of Coatesville. He is predeceased by: his brothers Charles Barto, Fred Walton, and Joe Walton; and his sister Helen Jean Pursel. Roy will be greatly missed by his family and friends, including his 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
